Days of Awe: Selichot
Forgiving ourselves and others for the things we’ve done and the things we’ve not done and the things we didn’t do right.
However, the work of forgiveness can be difficult on the Days of Awe, particularly when the prayerbook feels inaccessible.
That's why this year, BHA is teaming up with BHA member Ori Alon’s Center for Supportive Bureaucracy to make the work a little easier. We’ll be issuing the forms, authorizing the licenses and providing the official documents we need to forgive, to be forgiven and to set intentions for the new year.
More information about our programs for the Days of Awe is available here. At Beacon Hebrew Alliance, there are no tickets for entry and everyone is welcome to come for this period of introspection and prayer. However, our space is limited and we ask everyone who is planning on coming to please register so we know how many people to expect.
While there is no fee for participating in the holidays at BHA, we do, of course, have expenses and we hope that you will choose to contribute to BHA so we can continue to be a home for vibrant Jewish life in the Hudson Valley.
